UP Home's Health Center Visitation Guidelines

We are excited to announce the UP Home is allowing outside visitors for Health Center residents starting next Wednesday, July 15th. You can start scheduling your appointments to visit loved ones on Monday, July 13th, by calling the Health Center at 319.653.6171. See specifics below for what to expect when you come to visit.

When can I come visit?
•  Outdoor visitors are welcome starting Wednesday, July 15, 2020. All visitors will need to make an appointment which needs to be scheduled at least 24 hours in advance by calling the Health Center at 319.653.6171.
•  Appointments will be scheduled in 45-minute increments.
•  Visiting hours are Monday through Friday between the hours of 9 AM - 4 PM.
•  Window visits are still acceptable outside of these visiting hours.

What kind of screening process will there be?
•  All visitors will have their temperature taken and it must be below 100.4.
•  All visitors must provide their own face covering and must wear it properly. 
•  All visitors must not have any symptoms of a respiratory infection such as a fever, cough, shortness of breath or a sore throat.
•  Visitor must not have had, for the last 14 days, any contact with someone with a confirmed diagnosis of COVID-19 or who is currently under investigation for COVID-19, or are ill with respiratory illness.

What else do i need to know?
•  Due to the risk of exposure, holding hands, hugging, kissing or other physical contact is not welcomed during the visits.
•  Visitation could be canceled and rescheduled for a different date & time depending on the weather that could put either you or the resident at risk. 
•  UP Home retains the right to deny outdoor visitation to specific residents only if they believe the circumstance could pose a risk of transmitting COVID-19, or the resident/visitor is at risk of abuse/harm.

How many can visit at a time, and can i bring my children or dog?
•  The number of visitors is limited to two. 
•  Children are allowed, but those under the age of 12 years must be under the control of the adults who bring them, and they must also comply with social distancing requirements. 
•  Pets are welcome but must be under the control of the visitor bringing them in. Keep in mind, residents should not touch visitors or pets.
